What are cloud solutions?

Is Microsoft 365 Secure?
Microsoft’s 365 products are secure when configured correctly, basic security such as 2-factor authentication and randomly generated passwords help to ensure that your services remain secure. Higher packages of Microsoft 365 includes more advanced security features such as Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender and EntraID.
Does Microsoft 365 services go down?
Microsoft infrastructure is spread across multiple data centres to provide resiliency and uptime to customers ensuring that services remain functional during outages. In our experience, we have never seen a complete outage of services for Microsoft 365, issues such as degradation of services are possible and can occur, but we have never seen a complete outage; making the solution highly stable and effective.
Am I able to backup my computer to the cloud using Microsoft 365?
Depending on the Microsoft 365 package chosen, each user would have OneDrive cloud storage with 1TB of data assigned per user. IT are able to configure folder redirection of specific folders to the cloud for safe-keeping. Users’ would not be able to backup an entire computer with the image, for that type of solution, a dedicated cloud backup solution would be required.
If an employee leaves a company, can I still keep their data and email working after they have left?
Yes this is possible, by converting the mailbox to a “Shared Mailbox” you can remove the licence being paid for and still continue to receive emails on the mailbox.
